Turning interest in chess into programs schools could actually run.

The North Dallas Chess Foundation focused on the gap between interest and access. The work involved outreach, partner communication, program setup, and a practical understanding of what schools and students needed to participate.

Shreya helped move the project from idea to activation by supporting presentation, partnership, event, and organizational work. The goal was not just to host chess activities, but to make them repeatable across different school environments.

The completed initiative grew to six approved chapters across four districts. Its chartering guides, classes, tournaments, team systems, and grant-funded programming sharpened her interest in community systems: the behind-the-scenes structure that lets a good idea reach more people.
